Why do the classic sustainers turn yellow?

Whenever I’m in a Festool dealer’s shop and run across a classic systainer, it’s almost always yellowing. Why is that? Did Festool change the plastic they use with the t-locs? I’ve never seen a yellow t-loc.

And once you have restored the colour you can get that extra shine with MPA 10000-SYS - possibly NAINA.

Hey, recycling is good for the environment.

Non-classic systainers haven't gotten old enough yet.  Much like wondering why old cars have rust and new ones don't, it's just a matter of time.
