I’m looking for a cs70 and I’ve found a great deal on a 110v but I’ve noticed it’s only rated at 1550 watt compared to the 220v rated at 2200 why is this and is there any difference in power performance or noise etc
Thanks in advance rob

The 110v unit needs wiring rated to 15.5 Amps
The 220v unit needs wiring rated to 10.0 Amps

So the 110v unit would need wiring 65% larger
If it were rated 110v 2200w then it would need wiring double the size of the 220v 2200w unit.

So the whole motor unit woud be much bigger, my guess is that using the same external mouldings that a 15.5Amp motor is the biggest that will fit.

Is there any difference in power?
Of course there is.
Is there any difference in performance?
Of course there is.

A better question is is the performance and power difference noticeable (the 110v has 70 % of the power of the 220v unit) and will the lower power matter in my use case? The answer to that, I don't know
