Why Me?

I spent last winter at my Parents house, helping my dad build some cabinets. I left my new MFT table and 3000mm guide rail there. He lives on a quiet cul de sac and I live on a busy street. I left the stuff in his garage, as mine is too messy.

Well, this week, I needed to cut down some sheets of plywood to make a dresser. I went over to my Dad's garage. What do you think had happened? He likes to leave his garage open while working in the back yard. Someone walked into his garage and walked off with my 9ft long guide rail! *(#&*%!) They left his new Makita lithium 7pc kit and all of his other tools and took my guide rail! I can't believe it. I'm so mad. If you guide see one on the cheap from Stanwood, Washington, let me know.

whoever stole it has sold it for scrape aluminm i can almost guarantee it. theives do not know what a guide rail is or for that fact festools.

Well, maybe they do. It will go for near retail on ebay, less on craigslist.

Check and be sure that your ladder is not missing. They may have made a sliding board for their kids.

Rodwolfy, there's a 55" Festool Guide Rail (like new, says the ad) for sale on Craigslist in Dallas. That ain't close to Seattle, I know.

In 1991 we had an ice storm. I lost power for 10 days and had 5' of water in my basement. I had to get my car to higher ground because the house was surrounded by water on three sides.
On the third day I was listening to a talk show on radio and a guy called in to complain that it was outrageous that his cable has been out for 3 days! If I could have gotten my hands on him I think I would have ripped his head off.

So, to answer your question... It happens to all of us. I know that doesn't help, but it is true.
