WIHA 50% off sale

Thank you [member=3192]rvieceli[/member] for sharing.  ...or I think it is a thank you.

The tip both cost me money, but also saved me money. There were some tools out there that I had on a wish list and this pushed me over the edge.  I also found some other items that I got, so maybe it did not save me money in the long run:)  I am looking forward to my shipment getting here though.  Thanks again.

Well that hurt a little. But in the bright side I have some t-handle hex and the drive loc on order. Thanks for the heads up. Next time I’ll look at those soft jaw channel locks you are all referencing.

Did you find them?
Will buy the next go around. Don’t have the money now to justify it. That and the wife will kill me. Haha

Amazing deal!!! Cant believe I almost missed it! Just picked up a bunch of random stuff I had in my wishlist! Thanks for posting this!

Many thanks for the heads up [member=3192]rvieceli[/member]

I picked up a mini bit ratchet, T-handle dual driver bit holder, soft grip stubby bit holder, and soft faced split head assembly mallet (40mm).

Money well spent!

Search for "Soft Jaw Pliers" on Amazon.  There are several options at different price points.

Knipex and NWS make both soft jaw covers that can be had separately. So if you own corresponding pliers from either brand, you can get the jaw covers as accessory/spare part.

NWS had send me two pairs, one really soft, one a little harder for testing and evaluation, they should be available by now. Can recommend them, worked great on my faucets.

On the other hand, the Japanese slip-joint soft jaw pliers that were linked above are also recommendable, the jaws have cut outs to hold round material that can come in handy. I have those pliers as well.

The soft jaw covers from NWS don't have said cut out, it was one of my recommendations to think about that in future.

Kind regards,
Oliver

The ones linked above are made by IPS in Japan. They are available on Amazon. just search for IPS pliers. The ones on Amazon do not include a set of replacement jaws.

MSC also carries them as well as the replacement jaws.

I just received an email from Wiha Tools - I think it speaks for itself

Thank You

On behalf of all employees of Wiha USA & Wiha Canada, I would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU for your participation in our “50K” promotion for achieving 50,000+ followers on Instagram.

The 4-day promotion was designed to help keep our Distribution Center working through the slowdown caused by the Coronavirus. The goal of the promotion was to try and get orders back to pre Covid-19 levels and keep the team working. To our surprise, what occurred was an increase of orders by over 900%! The success of the promotion will allow us to keep our entire team working their scheduled hours, plus we will now be adding some overtime.

Please understand that the increase in volume along with the staggered flex shifts we are working to minimize our employees’ risk of exposure to the Coronavirus will delay the shipping of your order. We are striving to ship all internet orders in the next 10 business days.

Expect a follow up email once we start picking and packing your order. Larger orders may take longer due to assembly of sets. Once your order ships you will then receive an email with a tracking number.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Your order is genuinely appreciated. Our employees are proud to have customers like you.

Thanks again and stay safe,

Patrick Di Perno
Divisional President and Managing Director
Willi Hahn Corporation dba Wiha Tools

Ha! Thats awesome! I was worried they were going to say there was an error with the promotion and our orders had to be canceled! Glad theyre happy about the success of the sale!

Thanks Ron for the heads up!

I finally pulled the trigger on a couple sets of T Handle Hex Keys and Hollow Shaft Nut Drivers.

I can't wait till their 100k Instagram follower sale!

The same day that thread started, I went to Wiha Canada and the 50k coupon was not valid :(

I tried to make an order on the US site. On checkout, there was a problem and no shipping option available for my location. Anyone been able to order from Canada?

I'm in the market for some dead blow hammers and what good timing!

[member=6618]kdzito[/member]  Dude, you should check out the Dead blow hammer deals site.  This is the "blemished" site for the made in USA Trusty-Cook Dead Blow hammers company.  They offer a nice product and the blemished models look like new.  Some are even available in a green color similar to Festool.

Mike A.

Thanks Mike.  I’ll keep the deadblow hammers site in mind.
