Will a T/C-15 or 18 run a 2" forstner bit thru plywood?

Anybody ever used the Pro-Fit multi purpose hole saws?
They are also sold by the respectable drill factory Famag.
There is no need for removing the material by hand. You only have to slide the cylinder up and remove the disk.

Look at the following film: Pro-Fit Drill-Drop and click on the first film "Drill & Drop 0:27 min" on the right.
The other films are also interresting.

no ken. im refering to the festool drills not the milwakee

Ok.  Wasn't it the T15 you kept having to send back for repair?

This C12 did have the motor and electronics replaced, but not from using large bits or hole saws.  First time I've tried it with a large hole cutting bit.  Maybe I should have used Dave's C12 to test it?  [big grin]

t15 then 18 but im sure they will be engeneered the same .

i found it can handle the drilling but not any sudden stopping.

Personally I never understood the difference between the T15/18 models because they are physically the same from the outside. Why cannot the T15 use a battery of 18V?
I think it's only a little difference in the electronics. Now you can only use the batteries upward from 15V in a 18V drill. And not vice-versa.
They do the same with the Carvex battery powered jigsaws now. At least they could have changed that with the T15/18 Mk. II versions which came out lately.
The T12 is a different machine, it's a little shorter. And maybe has a different motor.

Don't the T15 and T18 have different motors with different power demands from their respective batteries?

The part numbers for the motors in the T-18 and the T-15 are different according to the Ekat.

The T15 and T18 are similar looking, but if you try them side by side you will notice the difference.

I have both a festool and a Protool drill. For drilling with drills > 8 mm or when i have to do a lot of drilling i always use my Protool PDC 18-4. It's pro's are a lot of power and the higher drilling speed.

Hi, don't know if this helps and can't comment on festool cordless as I have makita and before upgrading to li-ion my old 8444 series with 3 amp ni-mh battery would go through just about anything , i.e. 4" core bit through 1" ply , 8" 12 gauge screws into english oak with NO pilot hole , 2" diamond core through 9" brick wall , totally awesome power and a real wrist breaker if not careful with amazing torque on slow speed ( 3 selectable speeds )  . new dril, bhp 451 , seems to be just as good but a lot lighter
