Wine Cabinets

Tim, it's pretty close to being a glass room.  When he had the house built that space was intended to house wine.  It is temperature controlled and the glass doors have a seal on them.  I'm looking forward to seeing the cases with some bottles in them.

Nice job as always Russel. The only concern I have is the use of tung oil product in conjunction with wine storage. The off gassing of the tung oil in a climate controlled sealed room has the long term potential to contaminate the wine stored in bottles with corks.
I know you said previously that the tung oil was customer specified, so I hope they did their research. This is more a heads up to you.  The situation is the same when using western red cedar in a wine cellar.

John, I thought about that.  The customer does some woodworking himself and actually finished the last project I did for him.  He's in no real hurry to fill the cases with wine yet so he'll have time for the finish to fully cure.
