I've been comissiomed to build three benches for wine cask. Two benches will be 15" wide by 48" long. Wine stained down. Those will be the easy ones.
The third one will be 15" by 104 long. Red side up. This staves have a slight bow in them, about 5/8". It some what easily flexible to take the bow out.
I'm thinking of using some 10mm dominoes to assist in the alignment. At glue up I'm thinking of placing a 1/2" shim in the center between the work bench and the staves. Then placing clamps and cauls like in the picture before using clamps to bring the bench together. Hopefully this bring these staves back to some what straight. The customer is ok with rustic. I planning on doing the 104" bench first so if it doesn't work out I could cut it to make the smaller benches.
What are some of the members thoughts?
Larger dominos? I have the 500/700
The glue up procedure?

Thanks of any input
