First and foremost, I would like to thank the Academy for this wonderful award.  It just goes to show that a little boy, born in Kansas, can grow up and achieve greatness, even if it is in the form of a battery powered drill.

Secondly, I would like to thank Festool for being insightful enough to realize how much i needed this limited edition CXS signed addition drill, in the ever cool black systainer, with the 90year logo latch.

And also (how could I forget), I'd like to thank the little people, who either forgot to enter the sweepstakes, or just assumed they could not win, for NOT submitting an entry, which would have decreased the odd's of me winning.

For those entrants who did not win the sweepstakes today, just remember, everyone who uses Festool is a winner in my eyes!

I just found this.  What a great surprise!!!  And just this morning I was reading the thread "People who buy the CXS must be stupid" and I thought about how nice it would be to have one these nifty drills.  I fell in love with the CXS when I held one at the Festool Roadshow.  Thank you Festool!

Congratulations to all the winners.  Collector's item?  Maybe, but don't let a good tool just sit in the case- it is made to be used!  That would be like having a nice Gibson guitar and leaving it in the case and never playing it.

I watched as the UPS truck crossed the cattle gate on the opposite side of the field today, and I thought to myself "I'm not expecting anything this week".  Low and behold, it was a box from Festool, with the 90 year CXS limited edition drill (#83 of #500), that I had won back in late June of this year.

The delivery reminded me of a post I read from Mort, on June 20th:

I was hoping to hear my wife say, "What did you get from UPS? How much did that cost? Don't you already have a couple drills? Where are you going to put it?"

I found my CXS on the front porch where UPS had left it late this afternoon!  What a neat, neat gift from Festool.  Even the Systainer looks classy.  And just to show my appreciation, I'm sure I can find a few accessories to add to the package  [smile].  Thank you again Festool!
