I am a confessed tool junkie and really like both Festool and Woodpecker products. I usually order the Woodpecker one time tools if I can imagine a use for them.

I ordered the Delve square even though I already own several small squares.

I am stunned how much I am using that little square. I mostly do small projects and the Delve is a perfect size for what I do. It sits out on my work bench and it seems to always be the first square I pick up. It fits easily in my apron.

If you can still get one, I highly recommend doing so.

How long ago did you get yours?  Still waiting for mine to ship.

I've had mine about 2 weeks. I am somewhat jaded about having yet another square, but this little jewel is very special. It has already earned a permanent spot in the lineup.

I am a fairly frequent Woodpeckers victim as well.  However, I have no idea what in tarnation a Delve square is?

Go to the woodpecker site and search on
DelVe and you will get the info. To me, the DelVe square is like a Leatherman tool. Seem like there is always yet another way to use it.

Here's the complete stupidity of OTT again. They do their run and that's it .. but good reviews would create further demand!!

When are Woodpeckers going to wake up to their own foolishness? I like their tools but they won't get my money simply because they annoy me [mad]

Ya I would certainly handle their marketing/sales approach differently.

Start off with the OTT and if the demand exceeds some number, then consider offering the item on a full-time basis. As these items are manufactured in the US rather than off-shore, Woodpeckers isn't constrained by having to order a container full of this or a container full of that.
They could just make up 25-?? extra items and keep them on the shelf and then monitor the sales. If after a year they didn't sell as well as originally expected, then sell the remainder on their website like they've done this year and then the tool goes back to OTT status.

I've good luck calling Woodpeckers and asking if they have any extras of one time tools.

There is a form to fill out on their website to show interest in re-running a OTT.  If demand is high enough through this form they will, and have in the past, re-run a OTT.

So I guess that would make it a 'Two Timing Tool (TTT)'  [big grin]

I have mentioned here before that I feel the name should be something closer to Limited Run Item.. or something to that effect.

I got mine from Tool it about a week and a half ago. Truly an awesome little square and its finding a nice perch in my humble shop.

Just a heads up to the group.  Woodpeckers was taking orders for the Delve square at the Woodworking show in Baltimore over the weekend.  I put my name down and just got a call confirming payment and shipping.  Might be worth a call if anyone is still interested in one.  I got to play around with a demo and it's a pretty genius setup.

This was a badly timed release for me, as I'd just blown a fortune on their parallel guide set and pocket compass set a couple months prior to the Delve square.

Geeeee I sure wish they would ship the one I ordered in JULY! But I'm glad to see they're taking new orders and shipping them. [mad]
I guess they'll be getting a phone call....

I missed this as I wasn't necessarily on board with anything Woodpecker made (at the time), but I picked up a 1281 square and really like it.  I called Woodpecker last week to see the availability of getting one of these and was told that all were sold.  I did manage to get on a waiting list and was emailed an invoice, so I am not sure what that means.

Same here.  I ordered two of them back in July and still am waiting.  If they really are letting people order them shipping them already... not really a good way to treat their customers who have been patiently waiting.

I called them about my order still having not shipped and was told that they would ship mine out the same day - and they actually did.  Great little square with a million uses.

Give them a call today and I bet they'll tell you that yours is shipping out today :)

I tried that todat and they said mine will ship by the end of next week.  I ordered two of them the day they were announced.  Guess they randomly pick the orders out of the shipping queue or something.  Oh well.
