I'm pretty sure there're folks from that part of the world monitoring new product releases in North America on a regular basis.

North America does not hold the patent on innovation of anything, there is a whole other world of innovation beyond its borders. Patents are for huge companies and fools as a rule though Saw Stop with his specialised knowledge showed Bosch the exit door when they thought they could do what they wanted in the US though not elsewhere thankfully.

The Bosch ,Saw Stop thing was interesting. They do not use the same technology and the idea of sensing "operator" skin was not unique to Saw stop. Personally I prefer the Bosch Tech. In this case neither work for situation. Patents are defiantly a minefield of problems.
