Woodpeckers new Hole-Boring Jig

Just got an email about Woodpeckers OneTime Tool Hole-Boring Jig for making MFT with either 20mm or 3/4

Looks nice, but kind of surprised they didn't make it out of aluminum.

I like how it enables reliance on a smaller diameter bit to make the larger holes.

I don't think I like the reliance on guide bushings to bore the holes. Too many variables there. I just used the Woodrave template and the Festool 20mm bit to do a 4'x3' top with 1/4" pegboard to get 4" on center holes. Using a straight edge and all the squares I have here it's as square as I need it to be. The downside possibly is the 4" on center locations vs the 96mm on center for a jig like this or the parf guide. I don't have any clamps at this point where that matters.

I bought a cheap MFT top and Parf Dogs to do exactly the same thing. (LINK was $65, now it's $100).

Agreed. This is the fastest and most economical way.

I would not rely on pegboard either. Often I find the distance between columns and rows of holes to be different. You need to carefully check it in store before purchasing.
