Woodpeckers is taking orders for the 12" & 18" Precision Triangles [eek] I just ordered a set! [tongue]

order deadline February 22
Delivery 3rd Quarter 2016

Their previous MFT square seemed more useful (for that purpose).  Especially with the two taller/thicker edges.  This one, with just one, removable, edge seems less useful for squaring an MFT.  Particularly with the slop the rail can have when raising/lowering for different thickness (which can be addressed with better practices and/or a slopstop add-on).

Thoughts?  I'd very much like to have a reliably/easy way to square up my MFT.  I don't use it as often as I'd like, so a square like this seems like it would be helpful.

I agree.  Not to mention it's a heck of a lot of money.  I bought this plywood square from Anderson Plywood.  Very happy with it.

I would agree that the Precision Triangle is a compromise compared to the MFT Square, but I don't believe there are any MFT Squares around anymore and Woodpeckers isn't planning on making it again in the near future.

So, if you are buying the Triangle just for the purpose of squaring your MFT, then I'd say you aren't gaining much, if anything over the Anderson Square. If you have other uses for a high quality square and triangle then I would say it's hard to buy any more accurate tools than Woodpeckers produces (also more expensive).
