One of the things I don't like about the parallel guides is that plywood thicknesses less than 18mm don't work. Those flip stops look lIke they might hang down low enough to have the same issue.
I have to say, i'm SERIOUSLY considering this one. I currently have the festool parallel guides, and all thought i like them, I like this set from WPs for a couple of reasons. one of the big reasons is the ability to have multiple flip stops set at the same time. You can then go back and forth between the different sizes with no lack of confidence in the repeatability. I also like the fact that it all fits in a systainer. For me, the Festool parallel guides are a hassle as they do not fit into anything nice and neatly.....
Does anyone have a view about pros and cons of these vs. something like the Seneca Parallel Guides? I've been in the market for parallel guides for a while but haven't had a chance to use them side by side. When you factor in not having to buy the T-tracks for the Seneca, the price differential is a bit better. This one time tool isn't egregious.
I would appreciate if anyone who has the Festool parallel guides or the Seneca (or anything else) could give an honest critique on what they think of the Woodpeckers. Thanks!
