Interesting marking tool, but any reason why not making just one square to cover the full thickness range from 1/4" to 1-3/4"?

I bought both sizes when they were first offered. I use them a lot. Good product.

I just assumed that it was to keep the travel to a minimum on each size.....plus they can extract a few extra dollars too  [big grin]

To avoid parallax error causing inaccurate marking because of the empty space on thinner timbers when marking all round?
