I've recently purchased a (2nd hand) TKS 80 EBS and am looking at options for the fence. I'll be mounting this saw to my workbench as I don't need this to be portable so that opens up options from just VB extension. I've searched and found other thread on this forum about people adding other fences, but I wanted to ask and not assume that adding a metal fence wouldn't somehow trigger the sawstop mechanism. I presume it shouldn't matter about anything else conductive even if it's mechanically attached somehow to the saw, unless there is contact with the blade, but I didn't want to just assume.
I've been looking at building something in conjunction with this from Rutlands. In principle there shouldn't be a problem with this, should there? I live in the UK btw.
