Would you be interested in attending a door & drawer class?

Ahh these classes are only offered in two cities. I guess I can't just wait for one to happen in Atlanta then. Don't think I could make classes that far away.

Maybe you could host one, say, near Papadeaux!!!

After attending the Festool cabinet class you realize why there are only two locations.

The facilities are great, and stocked with hundreds of Festool products. They have, at a minimum, four of everything they make.  Why four of everything, because they have four complete workstations setup for the class. These are hand on classes, not show and tell demos. In the class you get to use any of the tool/accessories that they have.

A show and tell demo could be set up in a big semi-truck. But you would not get the hands on that the class rooms like they have provides.

And we are lucky to have one her in the western USA.

GPowers and I were so lucky to participate in the very first class in the new Henderson, NV training center, Cabinet Construction, in November. In addition to Steve Bace who runs the Henderson site, Brian Segley flew in from Indiana HQ. Possibly that was because there was also an Advance Router class later in the week. I assume Steve and Brian also wanted to schedule the 2011 classes and discuss Doors & Drawers, dates for which have not been announced.

While I wait for a D&D class (no, not the game) I am participating in the February 2011 Solid Surface class Steve is holding in Henderson.

I am sure it is marvelous having just 4 workstations with 2 trainees each and an instructor. We had two outstanding instructors. The downside was there was no chance to slack off when the instructor's back was turned.

In many respects it reminded me of USMC OSC. The fact is Brian looks very much like one of my Drill Instructors from 1955, who after a promotion served under my command as a Gyn SGT in 'Nam. Personally I think Festool should issue those guys Regulation DI Campaign Covers, of course in Festool blue, with green accents.

Thanks for all of the interest and feedback! I know that Brian and Steve worked this past week to put together all of details of the door and drawer class. I'm sure more info will be coming soon with class dates.

Do it back to back in Vegas with the intro to Festool Class.  So I can go to both.  [big grin]
