Not intending to be rude here at all, but this is "Ask Festool."
just wondering what the Festool folks think about it.
Maybe I am SH%t stirring - maybe I'm not. [cool]
I think you missunderstood the meaning.
This is an area for (Festool Owners to) Ask Festool (about their Festool Tools). This is a Festool *Owners* Group community after all.
Such posts as your are allowed here - sans the sensational headline - but would belong in the general discussion are about non-Festool tools.

EDIT: on topic.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery, as they say.
The price is relatively high, all things considered, it is a non-verbatim copy but seems to shoot for compatibility - looks someone in China did their homework.
The only thing I can see problematic - from the photos - are the "T-Loc-ish" catches. I am not sure the T-Loc patents are already expired but it may be so.
Other than that, all the other features seen on the photos are either generic or more than 20yrs old so patent protection would no longer apply. And it is certainly not a fake, pretending to be what it is not. So OK there too.
That DOES NOT make it a good value though.
The price of Festool is in the details, in anti-static, materials used, in the manufacturing quality so things fit snugly etc. etc. Can Chinese company match this ? Sure. These are no spaceships.
At $500 ? No &@{# way!
And that is before a warranty discussion comes.
From that picture, one thing that can see being interesting is if they sold the "workcenter" accessory standalone. I may be tempted - assuming guaranteed compatibility. The WCR 1000 costs about $500 over here. I can see the chinesium version in the $100 territory.
