WOW Passed Away?

Life is so short, WOW will definitely be missed, he gave a lot the the FOG community. Our thoughts are with his family.

Wayne,

You have been a beacon of knowledge to all members of the FOG ever since you signed in for the first time.  Thank you for your many contributions of knowledge over the years.  Rest in peace, my friend.  You and your contributions will be sorely missed.

Willy

Every tip (or a jig, or a piece of advise...) that a forum member gives changes the way others do things. Or at least they change me. A good part of the way I do things now is because Wow's messages.  In this survival through changes we got on the other is that form of immortality that we can be sure. Thanks Wow for helping me today can do some things a little better.

A thank you (every FOG member) for the same.

Apologizes for my very bad English, a particularly terrible obstacle on a day like today.

I've spent the last several minutes scrolling through the many tributes to WOW that other members have posted, and there's not really anything more I can say.  I'll just join the chorus praising his selflessness and his countless contributions to this board and so many of its members.  I received one of the original First Aid Systainer Kits.  The care with which he (and Mrs. WOW) carried out that project, at extra cost to himself, spoke volumes about the nature of the man.  He truly did esteem others greater than himself, which of course made him all the greater a man.  I will miss him every time I log in, but his contributions will live on in the lives and work of many of us.

I read every post in this thread and I see he's helped many people on Fog including me.

I never asked him to help me but he came to me offering his help which I greatly appreciated but I never thought he was going to put soo much effort in to helping    me... a stranger.

He was persistent at trying to help me and he really wanted it to work out for me but really my problem was nothing compared to what he was going through.  I felt like he made my problem a mission he had to solve for me.

I felt very sad when I read the title about WOW.  I knew he wasnt very well but I hoped it wasn't true I still hope its not.

That is really sad news.
When WOW wasn't trying to be the most helpful person on the FOG, he was always being one of the most amusing people on the FOG. Wayne really had away with words.
Like a lot of people here, I'm really going to miss reading WOW's posts and Interacting with him.
My thoughts exactly-  Always helpful AND a quick wit.  I don't think I can look at those First Aid Systainers the same way anymore.  Very SAD... [sad]

maybe we should create a "FOG Hall of Fame topic" and vote WOW to be its first member.... just an idea.... He certainly deserves special recognition....

This is very very very sad news!! I watched what he did with the first aid sustainer and the great lengths he went to put them together as well sort out any one that went missing etc. RIP to a great member who will be sorely missed on FOG

If there's someone in Minnesota (Or Minnesnowta as Wayne would often say) who can help his wife and needs Wayne's email address to try an get in touch with her, please PM me and I'll send you the email address.  The important thing is not to let the snakes into his shop and rip her off in the event that she has no real knowledge of the value of his equipment.

As a side note, this has hit me harder than I thought it would. I normally enjoy getting up in the morning and perusing through the Unread posts, and enjoying my coffee while reading and responding. This morning, it is not an enjoyable activity. [sad]

Besides his Festools and other tools - if his wife and family do not already know about the value of the old Apple products and memorabilia, someone should tell her they are potentially worth a lot of money.  I would hate for the family to throw away or give away anything Apple without knowing their value and historical significance.

Isn't it amazing that WOW could actually be more responsible for the success of Apple than anyone will ever know?  Wonder if he bought any stock?

WOW will definitely be missed!!! He was very helpful and was a great guy.  I will keep him and his family in my prayers.  How about a 21 domino salute!!!

This is so sad! I can't hardly believe it. He was such a great contributor to FOG! He will be missed. RIP WOW.
