I'm thinking about making my own version of the MFT.  Would anyone have extra frame rails from the MFT 1080 they're not going to use?  I would guess the only way they would be available is if you purchased the long rails to make an extended version of the MFT.  Are there other slotted rails that accept the Festool clamps?  They appear to be thicker than T-nut fittings.  Thanks, Kevin

I have four corners (two left and two right) and four of the longer profiles from the 1080 MFT.  This made a nice 4' x 4' (approx) table which worked great joined with two 1080 MFTs for a 110" x 48" table -- great for using the FS3000 (118") guide rail on the brackets -- not so great for the room it consumes in my shop.  Seems like the more Festools I buy, the smaller my shop becomes...  But then again, I have more shop in that space than I could have accomplished with stationary power tools -- of course, some of  those larger items wouldn't even make it into my shop due to limited access.

But, as to the profiles, send me a PM if interested.
