Very nice, though I noticed you have "Plumging" instead of "Plumbing."

Hey Kev,

Yes it is in flash  :)

Richard which one is right? im confuse now , sorry my English is not very good

Thanks man,
have u seen something else? hehehe
im finishing it day by day big job

Cheers,

In the review section two of the reviews - submitted by different people - are identical.

Are these comments place holder comments being used to test the site or are they actual comments submitted?

If they are real comments, are they paraphrased by you or are they as actually submitted by the comment submitters?

I am not trying to be harsh, I am just asking the questions because you have a different style of writing and the patterns in the comments seem to mirror yours.  It could be a geographical difference and I am just curious.

As a business site I think that using the flash will be a hinderance whereas you have just eliminated viewage / utilization by anyone who has an Apple iPhone or iPad.

Wishing the best success!

Peter

Wow.... you cover a lot. Never seen constuction advertised beside computer repairs before. Think maybe you are trying to cover too much. Its good to diversify but spreading yourself too thin over a lot of different projects can lead to some nasty problems. you could always add dentistry just in case....... [big grin]

If you got plumbing i suggest it should be writen down as electrical not electrician or you can use plumber and electrician, nice too keep it the same. I also agree about sticking to the trades so maybe computers does not belong there.
You got problems
We got solutions  by saying i have solutions makes it sound like a one man team and even if it is no one would believe your that talented even though you are

I agree with knotty comments should be   Plumber, Electrician    or     plumbing, electrical

Also I agree with the I should be WE got solutions you can hide the jack of all trades master of non thought! By making people believe its a company with multiple trades men!  I my self if I wanted you to come and do a job for me and your claiming all the things your saying you can do I wouldn't have you on my job.

In Sydney Flash kills off a lot of prospective lookers. For better or worse, it's a technology Apple are single handedly killing off.

At the very least you should give people your phone number if they remember your website.

If most peoples personal computer is only an ipad or an iphone then i suppose it's a problem but I can view your website just fine on my stupid imac. Regardless, on the handyman thing, your website shows that you are much more capable than being just a handyman. Don't know how it is in NZ but here the term "Handyman" carries a bit of a stigma to it. It means you can do cheap not really skilled hack work, which is fine in some circumstances of course, You don't need a master furniture builder to hand pictures for you, and you shouldn't have to pay those rates if all you need is a little fix up. My suggestion is that that you play to your strengths, your website shows that you are far more capable than just a handyman.

All in all a pretty creative website though. Thumbs up

I think prospective clients might like to see a before and after photos, not necessarily process shots. You should try to get more, higher quality photos of your finished work.

Are you a physician turned handyman or a PhD?  That's how I interpret it due to the fact that you highlight "Dr."  Some people might find it strange to refer yourself as Doctor, if you aren't.

As JMB pointed out, jack of all trades, master of non is the vibe I'm getting from it.

The advice you are being given is from guys who have been in business for years and I would suspect mostly succesfully. They will have gone through the process you are and will have made mistakes in marketing, learnt from that experience, adapted and moved on.

Potential clients will look at ads, business cards and make a subliminal decision on whether to make the call within a couple of seconds based on how they "perceive" the advertisers abilities/professionalism/skill set from the advertisement.

They will not have the luxury of the detailed explanation you have given to this forum on your qualifications and experience, and the over riding feedback you are getting is it is too much.

It is not criticism, it is constructive advice which I assume you were seeking by posting this thread.

I would change your label of "Project Reviewer" to "Portfolio" for clarity on your website.

Also I second the earlier comment that the Portfolio should be more about finished pieces than project documentation - you could have a separate "blog" section for more relaxed project documentation if you like to have one.

Also I fail to understand why you have the huge magnifying glass which links to Google on your front page?

And I would rethink if flash is the best idea for website design and look up possibilities of implementing the site in HTML5 instead.
