Im in the same boat.  Space is so valuable I made supports out of conduit to store anything that would hit between my rafters in my shed.  It works pretty good to.  One end of the tools rests on the walls top plate and I have conduit supports that slide out for each bay about 4-5' back from the wall.

How long did it take to cut with SO?
