Up until 3 years ago we had an Ace Hardware store in St Paul named 7 Corners Hardware. They had just over or under 1,000,000 sq ft of retail and warehouse space. It was the place to go if you needed anything now. Alas progress took out old beloved store. A mixed use condo and retail stands there now.

What are/were your favorite stores whether internet or brick and mortar?

I live in Atlanta and have enjoyed shopping at Highland Woodworking. Before I moved to Atlanta, I bought stuff from them via Internet. Visiting the store in person for the first time was a treat. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The inventory is comprehensive. Good store!

My only stocking local dealer is Woodcraft, but mine does a great job of stocking product, accessories, and consumables.  They also had a couple of Festool events a year, and have their classroom well stocked with demo products.  If they have what I am looking for and I am in the area, I buy it. 

I do really like to do business with Highland Woodworking.  If I am in Atlanta and have to swing by, I do. 

If I order online, it is usually from Bob Marino.

Yeah, I remember buying from 7 Corners-  Used their Catalog only, back in the '90s.  Sigh...
These days, Berlands for many things, Wood World for Festool in a Brick and Mortar store and Festool Nirvana for On-Line Festool.
For Boating or Marine Grade stuff, Jamestown Distributors...

Only choice near me for Brick & Mortar is Woodcraft 38 miles away Delaware.
I don't get across the river to Delaware very often but any time I do I try to
stop in. There are many hardware stores and of course the big box stores and
lumber yards that carry some tools and hardware but they don't carry Festool.

My favorite online source is McMaster-Carr which has nothing to do with Festool
and little to do with woodworking except for being an excellent hardware source.
They have one of the best online catalog and ordering systems I've come across.

For Festool online I do not have a preference as yet. I have ordered from Woodcraft,
Beaver Industrial, and ToolNut and good experiences with all.

As for online dealers, Bob Marino gets my vote for prompt delivery and bomb-proof packing. 

As for brick & mortar dealers, the Woodworkers Club (a Woodcraft franchise) in Rockville, MD, gets my vote every bit as enthusiastically.

For Brick and Mortar, my preference is Acetool out on Long Island in Wantaugh, which, in addition to Festool, stocks a full line of other brands:http://www.acetoolonline.com/.  There are other Festool dealers that are closer to my house which I am sometimes forced to go to because of proximity for last minute accessory runs, but for all planned purchases I do from Brick and Mortar stores I will do the drive out to Wantaugh.  Unlike some of the new Festool dealers that have come online in the past couples of years in New York City, where the employees seem to have minimal training with the tools, the guys at Acetool really know their stuff.  That goes not only for Festool but also for the other brands they carry, and they give impartial advice on the best tool for the job, even when that means buying something less expensive.  Acetool was where I made my first Festool purchase of a Carvex, and I've been going back there ever since.

EDIT: I do think, however, that [member=60827]internet[member=1752]acetool[/member].com[/member] could post more online at the FOG to drum up additional business.  Like, they could mention the deal they have going on the Dewalt cordless nailers right now where you get a free Dewalt laser, a deal I availed myself of earlier today.
