I just picked up a 1010 router and I need an edge guide for it.  I could get the Festool edge guide, but I already have a Microfence.  I just need the adapter for the 1010.  The cost is the same.  Can anyone think of any feature that I would lose by getting the microfence instead the Festool Edge guide?

Thanks

If you already have a Micro Fence, then just get the adapter. There is nothing to gain & a lot to lose by getting the Festool edge guide.

What router do you have the Microfence for? If you only need the flat aluminum plate and already have the rods for a router send me a PM. I had bought a MicroFence for my 1010 and it arrived with the adapter made incorrectly. It is an offset design and it is possible to make it backward, which is what happened. I sent Richard an email about it but never got a response so I figured he checked his stock and they were all correct and he just figured I didn't understand how to use it, or my message got caught in his spam filter. Either way, I just made a new adapter an I have another blank that would take about five minutes to finish.
