Timtool said:It sucks that it doesn't come with a guide bush, at least in NA it comes with an adapter, over here you have to buy the specific 1010 bushes.
All the routers i had came with at least 1 guide bush to get you started, in my case it's the most used accessory. It does come with a rail adapter, while i never had to use it in over a year since i got the 1010 ...
I think there used to be a OF1000 accessory set or something, with my 2200 i got the set, you feel the pain once but then it's over and you have all the bushes, baseplates, guides and collets you can ever need.Kev said:I'm not that fussed about what comes with the bare machine, but I do like the idea of comprehensive sets that give you a reasonable saving. The OF2020 set is a good looking kit, why don't they offer something similar for OF1400 and OF1010. I realise that the OF2020 has multiple bases - but there's interesting stuff to be had all round!

Welcome to FOG!
I am jealous, this router or the TS55r are tied for what I want next of my list of Festool tools. Would like to hear how widely available the bits are for that router.
Enjoy!
Interesting, I'd expect that comment of 1/2" shank over a 1/4" shank for a same profile or diameter. But, you see it with just the jump from 1/4" to 8mm? Were some profiles or bit applications more noticeable than you even expected?Jesse Cloud said:Lee Valley sells a range of 8 mm bits. I find 8 mm much smoother than 1/4.
1/4 bits are everywhere, but be wary of the cheaper ones.
