I wanted to use my new CT-33 on my panel cutting system. The short/small dia. hose that came with it just wasn't going to work. I found this 20' by 2-1/2" dia. hose on-line at Sears for $23 and it has 2-1/4" fittings at both ends that work perfect on the vac. and saw. I previously used a Ridgid shopvac and really appreciate this upgrade (never mind the boards on my bench - they are for making long rip cuts and can be removed):

Mike,

Can you elaborate on the movable top?
What is the large handle under the rails?
Thank you.

I bought an "orange" one at the 'borg for use in general cleanup...works great on my CT-22. It's very flexible like the OEM Festool hose, unlike that hard plastic one that came with my old shop vac which recently decorated the side of the road, waiting for the big blue trash truck to come by...  The orange hose was a kit with various adapters. The tools I had from the old vac fit it just fine if I'm using it for that purpose.

Here is a shot of making a long rip with the standoffs on my bench:

Here is the bench w/o the standoffs:

What is the large handle under the rails?

It's a hinged assembly to lift/lower the saw guide rail:

Thank you.

Hope this helps?

Yeah, I saw those kits at borg/lowes but that hose is I think 1-1/2" diameter. I was looking at a hose specifically for my circ. saw rail cutting system (I have a 2-1/4" port on my saw). I drape the hose over a hook on the ceiling to my saw. It's a plastic hose but works well. For smaller hand tools (like sanders/routers/Domino) I think the Festool small dia. hose or your orange hose works well.

I always liked that "Competitors" guide rail better. I changed to Festool only  because of the Festool TS saw or I would still have a setup similar to yours.

Sweet!
