Guys, let's organize something here whether it's an official FOG regional meeting or not.  It'd be a ton of fun.  We'll get a grill going, brews, etc

Sean,

Do it Dude!  [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

:o :o :o :o :o

You guys are getting me psyched.  As we get closer, we'll have to gauge interest.  I mean, you guys can still come and just hang!

Sean,

I am well up for this. Choose a date and I'm heading down from Montreal. Any time after the end of April works for me and I love driving down the Taconic which runs right by you (I think).

Richard.

Richard, we love the Taconic too.  It's about 2 miles thru the woods from us.  You'll be getting off the Jefferson Valley exit, hang a left and we're 3 minutes down the road.

One of the most beautiful "highways" I've ever had the pleasure of driving.  I've had some damn memorable moments (good and bad) on that road.  Would love to push a bike hard on it some day.

Hi Sean,

Yup,  do it. I will come. I will just cross my fingers that it will be an available day.

Perhaps a seperate thread for this event would be a good idea?

I am still in for one in PA  as well.

I have yet to meet any fellow Festoolers from FOG or tF.

Seth

Choice  #1 would be Tool Nut in NY , and #2 choice would be a PA location

Just as a clarification - the original title indicated that I was interested in gaining information and thoughts for my hope / dream for 2012.  Sean has indicated that he is willing to put together something in 2011 at his store.  ROCK ON Sean! [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

I am looking a year out because my dream is not achievable this year unless a miracle happens.  Close your eyes and imagine what a project about blue boxes morphed into and then think about what I might be thinking/ hoping  on a similar scale for the Regional Events.

Love the dialogue.  Keep going!

Peter

It's quite wise of you to plan for 2012.  And, I hope that we can make it happen.  If there is any way that I can be part of the 'we' that helps with the plans for this event, please let me know.

By the way, I am a member of the planning team for a big event in my home town of Hearst Ontario for early August 2012, so I hope that the Festool event does not conflict.

Peter,

If you're thinking of something as big as I think you might be thinking [huh] then it will be really amazing. No pressure [tongue]

Jonathan, no pressure felt, but you know me well.  [big grin]

I'm definitely up for whatever Peter is cooking up in that mind of his, in the meantime I'm definitely interested in meeting my fellow FOGer's ASAP!  I think it'd be a blast now and next year...annually for that matter!!!

Why not hold them at the festool sites in LV and Indy? Maybe some how to seminars, show some prototype tools or some of the tools they have in europe that we cant get here, folks bring some projects in for some sort of contest, etc...

Plus one for this idea!!! You would have a lot of resources already on hand.
