2x short rails or one long rail?

I have a 1080/1400/1900.  Last Friday I replaced a small flat bump out roof as a favor for a buddy who is suffering a little in the current economy.  The roof was 16'x10'.  This was the first time Io use my brand new TS75.  Awesome saw.  The one issue I had was when laying the first few pieces of plywood and being up on a roof it was a real PITA to connect and reconnect the two rails together for trimming the 4'x8' sheets.  They do work perfect attached together however I will be buying a 2700 at some point in the future for those 8' quick cuts.

Unfortunately the 2700mm guide rail is not long enough to work well with the TS75 when making 8' cuts. For the TS75 doing this you need the 3000mm rail. I find the 2700mm rail does work well with a TS55 for 8' rips, so long as you are careful.

+1 for the long rail camp, joining rails eventually stretches the groove via the set screw. the 2.4 fits in my truck, the 3.0 stays in the shop, the lil'uns do their job accordingly. Just today picked up a 5m roll of clear splinterguard to re-dress the rails I've used with the Panther ripping blade.

Thanks for the tip.  You just saved me from buying a 2700 & 3000
