.

Don't you have a friend who has a small pickup truck or panel type vehicle?  A six-pack and/or a test run on your MFT after it is set up might go a long way.

Try unscrewing the top. Having a frame and not a solid panel may give you a bit of wiggle room around the headrests and getting it into the car.

Why not have them deliver it? Festool offer free shipping

That would be the cheaper and easier way. I was looking for a...more exact moment that this large item entered my property, if you get me.

It would fit no problem in the SUV, I just don't often have access to it without kids in tow.

Kids!!!! Oh there ya go problem solved they can carry it out to the SUV for ya let them fit it in and they can sit around it. That will cure them coming with you to the tool store.
Hey It worked for me

Rent a pickup truck at the closest Home Depot or Lowes.  You are not restricted to using it for stuff you bought there.

Bringing home lumber is the next problem - might be time for a truck or if children are around the corner - a mini-van!

Aahhhhh Timing is everything. I remember my first big haul from ToolNut fondly.... Timed it perfectly.. No one home...... All went quietly in my workshop.

Can't you slide it in the trunk with half of it hanging out the back?  Then just tie the trunk lid down on top of the box.

My kids have big mouths.

'Hey mommy, guess what Daddy bought for us!'

Just tell 'em it's an activity table, and  you got a deal on it because of all the holes in the top. And of course it can't come into the house right away because you have to cover the holes first?

Sounds good to me!

I've rented a pick-up from one of the Atlanta Home Depot stores for less than $30. I had to pick up several sheets of plywood. It was a lot cheaper than paying for a delivery.

Ah my kids are older,

Here is a tid bit of parental training, I used it and it works great,

there are a couple of ways of solving the blabbing kid syndrom. 1) IS to do it the old fashion way.... Bribe them
2) is to black mail them. Catch them doing something that would get the wife mad then hold it over their blabbing heads....
3) Hush money works good to.
4) Take them to McDonalds or some place the little blabbers like and your wife wont take them then you own them...

I should write a book on positive parenting...

Im a regular Dr Suess  :>D
