hi there, just unpacked my new festool tradesman's cleaning set with the 36m hose and its kinked very badly in one spot, anyone else had this? im thinking i will have to return it for a new one  [mad]

Will it not iron out?  [tongue]

I have twisted and completely flattened my hoses before with no sign of damage but mine are the non anti-static ones which might make a difference.

its back in the van now, needed it out the hallway, its totally kinked like a garden hose would be to stop the flow of water, its kinked about a foot froom the vac connection, you may be able to push it out but i reckon it will just keep coming back!
Got the router tho jmb, things a beast love the locking mechanism  [cool]

You will love the router!

Just ring up Monday innit! You will get a replacement.

How was it stored in the box to have a kink in it must of been bad packing!

just rolled up but the last bit seems to have folded, put it back in the box and its folded in the same place, its even tight in a t loc 5, must have been a nightmare in the 4!

Hoses are a pain wish they some how shrunk when not in use! Or went flat so you could roll them up but then some how magically inflate!

the hose on my sebo collapses, the coil is a spring,I don't like to use it, only storing it is great

With a hard crease in it, seems like that will create a weak spot with potential future cracking. Think I'd be looking to get a replacement.

A bit off topic but have you seen those garden hoses that expand ? Spotted one on one of those stupid tv shop ads the other day. When you shut the water off the hose contracts back to a fraction of its length, very clever.

I have straightened the hose out and blown a hairdryer through it for a bit, ive managed to get the crease out and let it cool, will leave it like that over the weekend, no major damage from what i can see, will leave it like that for the rest of the weekend.
