The 36mm hose fits over the end of the 27mm hose end. A cut off of the end of a 27mm hose and wrapped a bit of tape so it's nice and snuggly.

Cut off the end of the hose itself or the hose end as in tool coupling?.

What is that pretty piece of wood under the red wrapped hose bit?

I see you chamfered the tops of the holes in your mega MFT. Is that beter?

The holes of the genuine Festool MFT are chamfered ...

It's the hose end on a piece of Sipo.

I chamfered the holes because my top is 1" mdf.

I tried to Google Sipo without any luck. Lots or different references. What might it be?

Les,

It is another name for Utile (African)

Boy is my face red  :-[. The way I read it, it was a piece of hose from Sipo. ???

Now is there a way of getting a hose end without cutting up a hose?

All I know is that it is beautiful. My supplier brought it in as a replacement of Sapele which they have not been able to get in any consistent quality for a while. Planer and jointer knives have to be razor sharp or you will get tearout all over the place do to its interlocking grain in the ribbon/quartered cut. I havent worked the flat.

Les,

When I was connecting my Dust Deputy to my CT22 (see Here) I purchased hose ends from Timmy.

you can just get the part separately. I have an extra I will post a pic later.

Hey Eiji - is it hard to get the plug-it cord plugged in with the larger diameter hose? Or do you put the hose on after the plug-it?

Poto

P.S. Thanks for the cut-offs. I can hardly wait to get cranking making something!

Your stock looks exceptionally well milled. What jointer did you use?

powermatic 6" jointer/makita 12" planer. I sharpened two sets of planer blades just before starting on this project. sharpened on the Tormek.
