Does it allow the D36 end you currently have to plug into the dust collector end you just purchased? Confirmation would be very much appreciated.

I got curious by your question, I happened to have this end as spare (haven’t exchanged it on the hose) - and it fits over the inner tube. I guess the 27mm end fits on the inside of the inner tube. Therefore I do think that the old 36mm end without these inner recessed tabs also fits the new vac ends.
Thanks, but I think you answered a question I didn't ask or I just don't understand the answer ;)

I have the new style D36 end with the locking tabs on it. I want an end fitting for the dust collector that can attach to the D36 end so I can put two hoses together for added length. My new style hose can not perform this function.

Do you have a quick photo to visually explain what you are calling the "inner tube" please? Is this a second "level" inside the dust collector fitting that allows the D36 hose to plug into? Does the D36 tool end fitting go inside our outside this "inner tube"? Reads like outside and the D27 tool end fitting goes inside.

Hi Peter,
That was exactly what I was answering. However, even if you have a new hose, this hose might not have the new vac end...
If you look into yours, does it have an inner tube, ie; an “extension” of the inner diameter of the hose?
I did check with the new style 36mm hose end that has inner tabs.

Photo of the new vac ends inner secrecy’s:

Thanks! That clears it right up :) My hose does not have that extra inner fitting. Not sure why my hose didn't come with the correct end or even if it should have. I'll try ordering the hose end mikeyr listed above and see if I get the correct fitting.

To clarify, am I correct that this style vacuum end will allow another 36mm hose to connect to it?  If so, what are the Festool part numbers that allow this?  I would like to connect two 36mm hoses together.

Bob

I’m not sure about this, as the newer hoses I have does have this inner tube, but these are the 32/27 hoses. My older AS hoses that are 36 does not have the inner tube.
Festool lists two vac ends that fits the 36mm hose, the one that has the newer design and its part no’ seems to support this is: 204920
But, there’s no image, or description that confirms that it has the inner tube for interconnecting with another hose.. Hope someone else that in fact has a newer 36mm hose or hose end can confirm this.

204920 looks like this:

202931 (Older) looks like this:

Yes it did, I cut my hoses and now have 2 36mm hoses, I can plug either into my CT36 and either into my KAPEX.  Along with the 36 to 27 rubber thing I can hook my 36mm hose into my Domino or TS55.
