36mm Non Antistatic Hose Problems?

I have a 36mm Non Antistatic hose that came in a Festool cleanup kit.    I have purchased three others just like it and use them daily.  One of them is over ten years old and is fine.  This one is less than a year old and has been on my backup vacuum sitting on a shelf un-used for a year.

I took it out the other day and the hose started to crack and break in the valleys of the of the hose.

Anyone else have this issue?

It gets pretty hot in the area it's stored in - garage at my house - but it also gets some sun through the windows.

My first thought was UV but why no effect on the other festool vacs I have? This is my 4th and newest vac?

Main vac is over ten years old and has been to hell and back with no issues with the hoses?

I recently had a problem with some plastic flip top bins I was using.  Have some made by the same manufacturer that were as old as 2001 with no issues and some new ones that lasted less than a year (same manufacturer).  Turns out the new ones were made of a defective plastic and shattered with in a year or two.  Old ones are indestructible in comparison.  I heard that recycle plastics vs virgin plastic are vastly different in regards to durability?

Anyone know of a source for the 36mm hose that I can use my ends with?

thanks!

I'd send it back to Festool for replacement. Do you still have your receipt? Unlike with the tools, there is no manufacturing date on the cleaning sets.

Having exact same issues with older anti-static hose. Anyone ever find a source for hose that would allow me to reuse the connectors? Anyone know the size specs on the hose so I can look for a similar replacement?
