Hi guys!

Last year I bought a CT26 has i was doing home renovation and wanted an hepa dust collector.

Last weekend I bought a rotex 150.
Now i want to 3d print clip to hold the power cable from the CT to the sander, on the hose.

Ive seen a couple festool green 3d printed accesoiries, wanted to know what brand you guys used to have the perfect festool
Green.

If the thread isnt in the right category, ill move it, or mod, you can move it.

Thanks!

I'm thinking the OP is looking for more off the shelf/easy to order (Amazon) filament that offers the "best" but not necessarily perfect  color match without special ordering something.

OKI, then he should make his inquiry to say, "something close to RAL6018".  Resin producers may not be familiar with Festool.

I googled: https://www.google.com/search?q=3d+printer+supplies+ral6018&client=firefox-b-1-d&ei=u_aEYp-sGPSHptQPosaWwAI&ved=0ahUKEwjf9dPulen3AhX0g4kEHSKjBSgQ4dUDCA0&uact=5&oq=3d+printer+supplies+ral6018&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBwghEAoQoAEyBQghEKsCMgUIIRCrAjoKCAAQRxCwAxDJAzoHCAAQRxCwAzoHCAAQsAMQQzoICAAQgAQQyQM6BAgAEEM6BQgAEIAEOgYIABAWEB46BQgAEIYDOgUIIRCgAUoECEEYAEoECEYYAFCxCVi0JGC0KWgBcAF4AIABigGIAfcGkgEDMy41mAEAoAEByAEKwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz

Found this: https://colorfabb.com/yellow-green-ral-6018

All Color on Demand spools are made to order, which means none are in stock and all are made specifically for you. Please keep in mind that all RAL colors which we have already matched, like this one, have a lead time of approximately 5 business days before we ship. This can increase during busy holidays, etc. If you are in a hurry, please contact us before ordering.

I use Matter Hackers PRO lime green (PLA) .. it is a perfect match.  I tried several other filaments that were close, but the MH PRO lime green is the best I've found.

I was only assuming but I did see the colorfabb too but they are in UK so that wont work so good for the US based folks.  I havent gotten into 3d printing yet but I might so I was interested in this topic as well.  I would buy some festool colored filament too but Im would only go so far as to what I could order off Amazon so perhaps I was projecting. The difference between what Grev pictured and possibly a "perfect" match makes no difference to me.

Wow that’s pretty much on point! Thanks for the info. Never printed with matter hacker before.

Didnt know about the exact colour. Im sorry.

And i’ve mentionned filament, so by default its fdm printer.

Edit: no, I didn’t mentioned filament.
So I’m sorry. Could’ve been more clear!

cool, post some pics of how it goes.  [popcorn]
Well, for some reason I cannot post picture.
But I’ve did some test with natural ASA for a clip to go on the cut 26 hose with a power wire holder for the sander.

As soon as I can post picture I’ll update you guys!

This forum is tricky for posting pics.  Seems like 99% of the time people cant upload a photo is because the file is to big.  I usually make the longest side 1028 and cut the quality to 50% and that seems to work not sure if im over shooting the mark but I havent had any issues with upload.

The color is RAL 6018

Both the RBG and CMYK codes are shown.  You should be able to get this color matched anywhere.
Good to know! Didn’t know that.
Is ral the equivalent to Pantone?

Pantone 363

I found the RAL color by googling. And I found the Pantone color by googling a conversion chart for RAL to Pantone.

So if it comes up again that you need a color match, that would be the process.

RAL is a European system.  Pantone is a private company that prints color swatches for paint, ink and fabrics specifications and molds samples for color matching on plastics.  Generally when we order paint colors we specify "Pantone XXX equivalent." If you specify an  exact Pantone color it gets custom mixed and can become expensive.  They often have a very similar color and that tends to cost less.

Pantone is a private company.  I don't know if RAL is private or an association.

Thanks a lot.
I also made some research.
Pantone is the printing industry (what I’m use to, I’m a graphic designer)
And Ral is for coating on physical material. Paint and etc.

Edit: sorry, didn’t read the whole poste before replying! Thanks

I've tried literally dozens of these printed clips from a bunch of different sources, and for the same reason as the OP = fixing the power cable of my Mirka Deros to a 27mm Festool hose.

They look really pretty for a day or so.

Then they break.

I went back to duck tape and zip ties.

What filament did you use?
How many did you put on the hose?

I also have seen people put some woven cable sleeve over the whole thing instead of clips
