Cracked me up    "Do not use the cup that came with the gun without a check valve, bad things will happen."
Hopefully we don't try that or have a check valve that's stuck wide open

If you do NOT use the check valve, do you need to plug the end on the gun?

The small hose, with or without the check valve needs to be connected to the gun and cup.

Do not use the cup that came with the gun without a check valve, bad things will happen.

You'll learn very quickly how to completely disassemble the gun and clean it.

After you clean the spatter off whatever you were shooting.
