I don't know why this seems so hard to find? It seems like they are fairly plentiful as High Speed Steel multi-flute milling cutters for metal, but not in carbide like a router bit?
I did find some, but the shank sizes were weird. 8mm would be ok, but at that shank size the cutter is only 8mm too, so depth of cut can't be much. Beyond that diameter, the shank size increases with the cutter diameter in 2mm increments up to 20mm. That doesn't work for hand-held routers. Only ER collets could use something like that.
Maybe some of you have figured this out and I'm just missing it.
Suggestions?

Found it right away.  Try looking for “French cleat router bit”.

These people sell one, though I have never heard of them.

And here is my google search.

It's all about using the right search term isn't it.  [blink]
Thank you very much [member=74278]Packard[/member]

That wasn't what I wanted to do with it, so the thought never crossed my mind.

Even with a good search term, this is an oddity.  Perhaps you should re-examine your process and confirm that it is a sensible purchase.

Or post what you are trying to achieve and see if I others think it the best route to your desired end.

[member=74278]Packard[/member] I'm just looking to get an under-cut that is deeper than you could get with a "normal" dovetail bit.
