I've yet to really abuse it in hammer mode, but what turned out to be an unexpected benefit was how fast it moves in Speed 4 for drilling pocket holes with the Kreg jig.

I've had a PDC 18 for almost 2 and a half years so it's the model with the 4.2Ah batteries and it's been really good. I've rarely had to use an SDS mains drill in 2.5 years as the percussion mode is pretty good too, apart from the fact it is so loud.
Apparently it's from last century or thereabouts and is an old Protool design, but I like it and it's served me very well. Though the SYM-70 mitre saw is ancient as well but I think it is a fantastic tool. Very small and super lightweight, so gets far more use than the Kapex.

Yes!!! Finally someone bright up "Protool" ... I cannot write more for I bare the fact the mid informed festooligans will start emailing me their rude comments as they always do.

While I interpreted your question to be motivated by honest intentions one cynical response followed by two sincere attempts revealed some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy about Protool? What was the point here?

Im being honest here, not rude. I cannot even begin to follow what you are saying. It's like your running it through Google translate.

I agree, some additional description / explanation in posts will certainly help what everyone reading them, takes from them. Helps avoid unintended misinterpretations.
