After doing a search on the 6, 9, 12 drawer sortainers (not really considering the 4 right now) and I have seen alot of possitive things about each drawer configuration.  So I am really having a hard time deciding which one really.  Also in a related question how many of the dividers come with each configuration?  Also I know it all depends on what my needs are and that should take care of my decision...the problem with this is...all 3 sizes fit my needs!!  I do not have the cash right now to buy all three because I am saving up for a MFT-3

So can some people really steer me to a sortainer please?

Seems a no-brainer to me, since you're not exactly sure, get the Sort 9, 3 big drawers and 6 small ones. Best of both worlds. They come with dividers so you can even adjust the compartments inside the drawers.

As for Wood_Junkie's recommendation, I don't see why one sortainer is better than the other, it just depends on what you want to store, that's why there's a couple of choices.

The ones I have purchased came with two dividers per drawer. Those were all Tanos branded. I can't say for sure  about Festool barnded but I would think the same. Dividers and drawers can be purchased seperately if you need more or different configurations.

Here is a link to a thread with  a bunch of Sortainer info and pics. Sortainers , Drawer Systainers

If you are really not sure which to get (barring the  4 drawer) .....  get the nine. That way you have some small and some medium to try out.

Hi,
I have several sortainers including the 9 drawer version and the 4 drawer version. While the large drawer in the 4 drawer version is useful, I feel the best configuration is the 9 drawer version. The mix of small & medium size drawers are great. There is no difference between the Tanos and Festool sortainers except the colour of the latches.

What I would really like to see available is the Sys-1 size 4 small drawer version. Hopefully Lee Valley will start to stock that model here in Canada.

I have several sortainers of varying configurations, but a couple of words of warning.
If you put screws or similar stuff in them and fill the drawers they can quite frequently jam. Worse if the sortainer ever tips over, waetever is in the drawers can jam them - occassionally I have been unable to open some of the drawers on site at all. For fixings the systainers with multiple inserts are much better imho.
Secondly, whilst they are convenient, they are quite heavy - particularly the 12 drawer one.
I particularly like the smallest 4 drawer? Ones as they clip under a drill systainer and offer just the right extra storage for drill bits.
