90° elbow for the CT line vacs

Another source if I remember correctly is Lowes. Might be HD. They sell in the shop vac aisle a soft brush with an attached 90 degree elbow that fits perfectly. Think it was around $8. Am sure it is not anti static and doubt the Incra one is either if it matters.

I know it cost more -- but it is an antistatic 90.  The Festool Antistatic Angle Adapter.
I don't have this particular fitting, so cannot comment further.  But, wouldn't this work better?

That fitting is designed for the CT mini/midi. It's definitely a 'right angle' rather than a '90 degree bend' though, it's a very abrupt change of direction. Plus they only do a 27mm version.

Don't get me wrong, it would/does work on a bigger CT, but it does restrict the airflow somewhat.

Yes, I understand that it is a sharp bend.  That's why I have never purchased one.  But, what do you mean by a 27mm version?  I thought that the size on this fitting was like the Festool Y adapter, one end would fit into the vac and the vac end of any standard Festool or ShopVac-sized hose would plug into the other.  Is this wrong?

It is not 50mm in and out and 50mm is the size of the hose ends.

So, you are saying that this fitting does not fit into the vac AND a hose will not fit into the other end?  What then is this fitting good for, and what are the sizes of the ends?

Corwin,

That fitting fits directly to the hose. By that, I don't mean via another fitting - it fits to the actual hose part, in the same way as the hose ends do.

OK, just went down to the workshop & took a pic:

So the hose fits directly into the smaller (hence 27mm only); the other side fits into the intake of the vac.

Hope that's cleared it up for you.

Thank you so much for spending the time to clarify that fitting.  I had not realized that it fit onto the D27 hose directly.   [thanks]
