Towards the end you'll see there are some issues with viewing from the side, but overall I found this quite interesting.
 
To be clear, I do like the little library in the wall, but I’m even more curious why there was a little refrigerator in the wall. Why is the wall 3 feet deep and hollow?
He said he built it in his closet, so I'm guessing the other side is a bedroom, without a closet now! ;-)

I know what my missus would say if I suggested building a secret library for myself using the closet space!

It's a freezer. As explained in the second video a previous tenant got the landlord a deal on a glass-front fridge that didn't have a freezer. So someone put small freezer in that closet. He moved the freezer downstairs and converted the closet.

No idea. Maybe it was originally like a linen closet?


Separately, and why I posted it: More and more I'm thinking I need to get a 3D printer even though I don't really have the space for it, certainly don't have the time for it, and don't want to spend the money on it.

He did make great use of the 3D printer! Otherwise, I’m on the same page as you.
