After seeing some of the projects that my fellow FOG members have posted I have been shy about posting but I decided why not? I am still in my formative years in regards to building cabinets but feel that these cabinets are decent enough to post.

This is my first medicine cabinet.
[attachimg=#2]
Door handle and close up of the lower right hand corner.
[attachimg=#3]
Door open and the shelves.
[attachimg=#4]
Back of door and the hardwood buttons I made to hold the mirror and plywood fill panel.
[attachimg=#5]
Over the comer holder. I learning how to make raised panel doors now.
[attachimg=#6]
Doors open and already in use.

Bottom of cabinet showing angle and nick knack shelf. Angled so when rising from the throne one does not hit their head.

This was an interesting project for me as I had to match angles and door profiles of cabinets built by a professional cabinet shop. My neighbor is satisfied and wants me to do a kitchen as well. I guess that means I did a decent job. Thanks for all the inspiration and tidbits of knowledge. This is a terrific forum to be a member of.

No need to be shy posting your projects. Keep em coming please

I like the use of what you call "hardwood buttons" for your cabinet door backs. Very nice.

my friend no need to be afraid to post... we all have a beginning... and it helps to post and have people make comments and learn from them and make each one better... i post my work then I say the same thing when I see others post also..  especially when I go to houzz and look at some of those built in pictures and say wow how awesome are those..

when I first started posting built in several years back I had lots of comments on them of things to do and not to do.. so the next one I made changes and then learned from that one and on and on..

so your cabinets look very nice and you did a good job... and you made it... so thank you and my bandana off to you !!!

No need to be shy!  I should be shy about my spelling and gramma but im not  [tongue]

Looks good!

On thing I would say which stood out to me  was the grain direction on your shelves you have them running the other way to your top and bottom

Hmm.. The cabinet is nice indeed. The texture of wood visible, the design are quite in accordance with almost any decor. I would use it as my recessed medicine cabinet, and may keep other essentials as well! Nice work!
