A table to make the TS-75 a table saw.

Similar to the table mount for the planer, a table top that the TS-75 could drop into and be used as a table saw. It would be better than my contractor saw by a long shot. My table saw doesn't have a riving knife or a motor that maintains speed. This would stand to make the TS-75 a better investment than a contractor saw in many ways. Maby it could drop in like a router lift and have a telescoping fence that extended from either end of the saw.

CMS insert system.  NAINA.  We've been whining about it from time to time here.

Look on British, Australian or German websites if you want a tour

Another con: you need an extra saw (and router) as mounting and dismounting it is a p.i.t.a., even if it takes just a few minutes.

;D

Yeah, that's the obvious one. I did figure out a short parts list that would let you make an insert that would work for either saw out of the 55 insert. But then I decided not to buy the TS75 just yet.

I also found that if you go from big to little planning your cuts you can often work out all the rail guided cuts and then transition into the CMS (although that doesn't make it any less of a pain to use the Kapex and CMS with a sincle CT22). You always get done in by that one angled trim rip you have to go back to the rails for.

*edit* and the other thing is you can get the swap down around a minute after you get good at it. The trick is to pretend you aren't rushing.........

When I considered the inconvenience of mounting and dis-mounting the saw and the price of the CMS I decided to go with a dedicated bench top table saw.  The one I settled for is the DeWalt DW745.

After spending a morning getting all the adjustments exact it works great.  The fence is precise and dust collection with a vacuum cleaner attached is very good.  I think I can make it better with a bit more shrouding of the blade.

So far I'm real happy with it.
