Abrasive storage continued

A while back I posted my abrasive storage solution, which I built into one of the drawers of the metal filing cabinets I have in my shop:

Thought I left myself enough room to grow, but I've been piling up the vlies recently, and the new RAS with its 4.5" discs has finally exceeded my current capacity. Wondering if I could ask (again) for pics/tips of what other people have done to organize a hefty collection of abrasives, preferably one that doesn't involve another systainer. Thanks.

I might not have the best solution, but this works for me, at least for all my RO90 abrasives. They fit perfectly in those yellow boxes.

The HF storage boxes are almost same size of the systainers, so they can be stored in one of my shop made sysport, and can be placed on the drawer if the rear stopper is set a little deeper (5mm).

I have a few pieces of sand paper in each grid stored with sander in the same systainer, and the rest of them are in one of these box, so that at least I know where they are. I am guessing it will not survive the job site, but works in my shop so far.

Thanks JZ -- I like the idea of the cheaper container.  Now if I could just find one that's 150mm deep...And god forbid I add the RS2 to my sanding arsenal

Ended up building a separate shelving unit for the abrasives, approximately 26x30x6.5".  5 half in. shelves of 3 different heights to accommodate sheets for 150, 90, 80x133 and RAS115 abrasives, which also worked out for fitting my 4.5 grinder discs, as well as other sanding accessories.  The extra depth of the shelf means that I can double up the RO90 abrasives if need be.

Since I have a widely varying number of many different grits, it didn't seem worth it to do dedicated slots for each grit -- so I decided just to place a few dividers on each shelf, which I cut to fit and attached with pocket hole screws.

Nice idea, I was actually gunna search for some ideas on here for abrasive storage. I like the other guys post with the yellow container, too.

Do you happen. To have a mobile systainer storage idea? Hopefully I don't hijack your post asking about the systainer storage.

[member=41633]Staniam[/member] I think mobile is the way to go if you can.  I just happened to gain some extra wall space after making a drawer for my turning tools, so I decided to claim it for the sandpaper.  I don't otherwise have much extra floor space.

That's a really cool idea .

I have actually been searching for abrasive systainers today .for storage

But that would save me a lot of space in my sys ports

And there is space in the sander systainers if you need to go mobile
