Abrasive storage

Hello all, I recently bought some abrasive Rubin2 and Granat for my ETS EC 125. They came in a plastic bag and are all bended. I put a heavy box on them and after a few days they are still bended. The humidity in the shop is relatively stable at ~20%

How do you keep them flat?

You really don't need to keep them flat. They will still fit the pad of the sander perfectly. I wouldn't be suprised if the bend is added on purpose in the production process.

I've read that some people have taken the "cake box" or spindle cases that bulk 50 - 100 count CDs and DVDs come in and use them for 5 inch or 125mm storage.

I store mine in a systainer.

I store mine on edge in a custom-built grid inside a Systainer.  "Bent" abrasives are just not a problem.

That is a great idea, thanks for the suggestion  [smile]

Alex, that was my first concern and I'm glad the shape won't matter. My next concern is storage, I have a systainer with an insert where you can stack ~50 but because they are bent only 20 fits. Perhaps if I put them in the microwave they will take their initial shape  [wink]
