Adapter for 36 mm hose

I just upgraded the 27 mm hose for mini/midi to a 36 mm hose. While the cleaning tools seem to fit both the 27 and 36 by themselves, what adapter is needed to attach the 36 mm hose to the 24" extension tubes (which easily accept the 27 mm)?  Also, which adapter reduces a 36mm down to a 27mm for certain tools?

The tubes should fit on the inside diameter of the hose without issues.

While Festool doesn't make an adapter that fits onto a D36 tool-end fitting to connect to the smaller ports, there are two possible solutions:

1)  The "Dave Ronyak" adapter, as seen in the CT Hoses and 27mm to 36mm Hose Adapter threads.  This allows you to keep the stock tool-end fitting in place on your D36 hose and simply add this adapter when needed.

2)  A replacement for the stock D36 tool-end fitting (called a 'hose reducer') that Samo links to in 36mm Hose -- Reply #28  (see Shane's earlier post in that thread for a photo).  This requires that you change out the tool-end fitting on your D36 hose.
