Affordable alternative to MFS Multi-function routing template

I just wanted to say that I pointed out the lack of "accessories" to show that you do not in fact have a MFS clone, rather some extrusions that may or may not function similarly.  Without graduations, guaranteed square ends, and centering pins, and those"unnecessary accessories" you really don't have much of a system at all do you?

I hope your extrusions work out for you.

Another benefit to the Festool product is the thickness -- or, should I say thinness -- of the extrusions.  The 1" thickness of the 8020 will reduce the depth you can route...

Or you could lower the router bit that extra 1/4", or even use a longer bit.

Let us know if you need instructions sent to you to show you how to do that,

Easy now.  That's just being snide.

Per you:  GIVE ME A WEEK OR TWO TO TRY IT OUT AND LET'S LOOK AT IT OBJECTIVELY THEN

I personally am looking forward to an after-action follow-up report on the viability of this jig.
Let's all be civil 'til then (and after that, too!)

Yes, it is snide.  I was just pointing out one small item that was included in prior discussions on using extrusions other than Festool's for this type of jig.  After all, this has all been discussed here before.  More and more I wonder why I bother to post...

Corwin, yes my remark was inappropriate and I apologize. I appreciate Wood Junkie's calming advice and apologize for venting here.  :-[
