Airless to AAA?

I have a Graco (airless)395 Hi-Boy. A spray tech told me I can convert it to an AIr Assisted by buying a G40 (?) gun and buying an air compressor. Said to just buy long hoses and keep the air compressor outside when in use.

Just looking for feedback.....would this be a good idea...would it work just as good as a regular Air Aissisted unit?  A new unit is $$$$$.

It will work just fine. What you loose is the compressor shutting off when you release the trigger.

C.A.T. makes a nice gun also, I have both. You can use any brand gun for your set up.
