Alignment Issue with Domino 500 Cross Stops

When I started using my Domino, I simply transferred the techniques I was used to with the biscuit joiner, and so I continued to make centering marks for domino placement.  So I finally decided to take advantage of the Domino accessories and used the cross stop for some edge joinery tasks.  I ended up with severe misalignment of the mortises. I'm pretty sure I followed correct procedure: I started on the left of the first board edge creating an initial mortise referenced with the guide stop dog.  I then proceeded from left to right with the cross stop attached on the left hand side of the Domino.  On the opposite board, I started from the right using the guide stop dog, and then moved right to left with the right-side cross stop set to the same width to which the left-side one had been set.  The resulting misalignment was not all of a sudden, but rather grew progressively larger.  Upon further examination, it appears that one of the stops (the left hand one) is not straight -- it doesn't sit flush with the board edge, as shown in the picture below.  With the right side stop, the pin goes all the way in when the fence is flush to the board.  I'm wondering if this is what's causing the alignment issues, and if I should simply get new cross-stops.  Thanks for any guidance I can get on this.

Anything off on the Domino can cause alignment issues.

I would examine the left pin assembly to try and correct the issue. If I could not figure it out I'd call Festool service.
