Hi All.
New member here, thought I would introduce myself and Give you some background info and ask a quick question while I'm at it.
Anyway I’ve been using Festool for about a year or so now but have been a chippy for 30 years, so I’m not so new to the tools. I Started off working in the UK, then migrated to New Zealand and eventually ended up in Australia.
Like a lot of people I got into festool through their Dust extraction and have been slowly replacing some of my older tools with festools when I can and have been looking for a better way of organising my tools and my time. So along with my CT, I use the Sys Roll which has proved to be a really handy way of transporting some of my tools around.
Anyway last week I ordered up off of the Australian festool website the Carvex PSC 400 EB, just what I’ve been eyeing up for a while, tool was basic but comes in a sys2 T lock and with a bonus battery.
My question to you guys is, am I been a bit too picky, as when the tool arrived it was packaged in an old style systainer, which I don’t really like using and I only have one of the old style boxes, that a Bosch tool came in many years ago and whenever I have to open it, it always seems awkward and is a pain to connect to the new ones. The Festool web page clearly states in the, what’s included, that the tool is supplied in a Sys 2 T lock.
So I’ll give them a call this week and ask them if they can swap it over, no harm in trying. But I was wondering has anyone else found when ordering festool via the website that there tools have been packaged in old style systainers and if so did they just put up with it or did they get it swapped over.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
