Tempted to get 4 Cms basics and 4 OF modules. Anyone interested in getting together? The cms basic would come out at £280 plus postage. I could give a vat receipt if needed.
I'm also travelling down to Manchester on 2nd Jan if you'd feel safer with a face to face.
Would be interested in the cms

Same! Just bought a planer thicknesser & extractor, and the domino..

Same thing happened last time Amazon had this deal on  [dead horse]

Belt sander, PDC, of1400 & ts75. £1300 and the PDC is free. What a bargain! Can't afford it though, totally gutted!

Anybody got an idea how they fund such offers? Do you think the manufacturers have to sign up to the deal and give Amazon a 25% rebate at the end of the promotion? Or do they just take a loss on everything they sell?

Questions, questions........

From what I gather it is self funded by Amazon, maybe a question for [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member]

Well if they are, and they are on the same terms as us then they are making a huge loss on every transaction.  [eek]

If only I could, there just isn't the margin, unless Festool are supporting it, then can we have the same deal please, level playing field and all that.  [big grin]

Isn't this something to do with their tax arrangements?

I honestly don't think Amazon are looking at this that closely - most people aren't ordering 4 Festool power tools to get a 25% saving. (In fact have any orders mentioned above actually been fulfilled?!) I'm sure they will lose a bit if people do this - but they get enough orders for this not to be an issue. It's a not a Festool deal - it's just a deal - and actually unless you order 4 of the same thing - it's quite hard to achieve the 25% discount.

Still I got some more Festool clamps and some gardening gloves for my wife so sorted :). (And maybe a Syslite but we'll see what transpires).

Literally the most sensible thing you've said all day. They're virtually PAYING you to take it off their hands. Do it, Press the button, ooo go on you remember how. Just one little click and it's all over.

The pre order nerves, the humming and aaah-ing, the "i'm gonna sleep on it"......

Then when those beautiful, clean, grey boxes arrive, with the green glistening in the english sun......

Only then do you realise it was the best thing you've done this week!
