I had some Birthday Amazon certificates from my family, so I decided to order a Festool 420 Carvex.
I ordered it a week ago, after a few days I checked to see when it was being delivered and it told me it was ready to be despatched. After another couple of days, 6 in total it was still saying ready for despatch!
I contacted customer services to find out what was going on and the didn't know. I told them to cancel it and I'll get it from somewhere else. Anyway the guy said he would need to investigate and to wait 24 hrs for a response.
So after a few hours I get an email saying DESPATCHED...Hurrrrah!

I Will be playing with it next week..

Very close to cancelling and spending money on something else though..

My experience with Amazon in the USA has been consistently excellent. Their problem resolution is fantastic.

Amazon are not very good for Festool - they have a very limited range and their prices aren't very competitive. But normally I find their service pretty good.

I got back from work today and my package had arrived, a day earlier then expected. I must say I do most of my purchases on Amazon, and selling, but I do find them very good on the whole.
I don't normally buy tools for work from them but the price was competitive.

Down the workshop tomorrow for a test.

I think you will be very happy.  I have had a Carvex for about 6 weeks.  It's an excellent tool.  Enjoy!

I also ordered my Carvex few weeks ago but from German eBay. Ordered on sunday evening, got the delivery on wednesday afternoon.
Super fast delivery from Germany. I just couldn't believe it.
Somehow I don't trust Amazon.

As far as the United States Amazon goes they are excellent and very fast for shipping I always get stuff right away.  Sometimes I go on Amazon.uk and find stuff that I can't find any United States it takes about an extra week it's got quite a bit of shipping on it but at least I get some interesting things.
